Good Tunes

I’ve been very into trying to find good new music. I think it’s especially fun to find indie artists, but when I started searching around I had NO idea how many great indie artists there are. Man. It’s crazy that some people get signed and others don’t. Here are a few of my favs:

Dave Barnes – I don’t usually like guy singers all that much, but he has such a great voice. Listen to Nothing Fancy.

Erin Toland – A 17 year old with a guitar and some good hooks. I love the song Hollywood.
Kendall Payne – Deep. One of my favorite all time artists. Check out the song Aslan.

Anyone have any other recomendations?

I was just looking at my blogger site – thesecretlifeofkat.blogspot.com – and desperately wishing for so many of the features that come with WordPress. Then I found WordPress.com. How awesome!!!! I’ll be blogging to my heart’s content now…

Who Is Kat And Why Am I Reading Her Blog?

I thought it appropriate for my first blog to be about me. After all isn’t that what blogs are all about? Just writing about oneself and ones interests and then hoping against hope that there is a number next to the “Comments” indicator?

I’m very typical, but just atypical enought to be interesting. I’m a Christian, but I love to ask the unaskable questions and to challenge and have others challenge my faith. I’m a soccer mom – but I’m the one who plays soccer. I’m a stay at home mom who also happens to be a techie web development and business marketing nerd. Most of my mom friends scrapbook, while I play with HTML, CSS, PHP, XML and such.

So that’s me in a nutshell….er…a paragraph. If anyone reads this please write a comment…anything. I just need a bit of encouragement at the start of this blogging journey.
