Thanks for sharing that story Angela. It’s so great to hear positive stories about the rich and famous. I wonder what our country would look like if everyone who had similar resources to Mr. Perot responded as he does when faced with need.

This doesn’t suprise me at all, I met a man in Alabama, who had been injured in a helicopter training mission (during peace time). He was severely injured. The Army would only take care of the “usual, customery” charges like we all deal with. Ross Perot stepped in, flew him whereever he needed to go, and flew in the best doctors in the world. He also arranged a private jet to take his wife to meet up with her husband at the hospital. He also let him pilot one of his planes or helicopters. There are too many details to list them all, but he is living proof of the care and generosity of this wonderful man. He lost site in one eye, and has a lot of titanium throughout his body, but he lives a very normal healthy life.

Ross Perot is a very impressive man out of the limelight. It doesnt suprise me. There was a family at the church I go to at school whose daughter was in a car accident that left her in a coma and then severely paralyzed with little hope of recovery. Somehow the story trickled down to Ross Perot. Since hearing it, he has covered their medical bills as far as I know and bought the family a van to transport the daughter to and from the specialist in Texas who is dealing with the situation. Amazing generosity.

Thanks for stopping by. Yes, this story encourages and challenges me because I often remember that, though I’m not that rich here in America, in the scope of the world, I’m very wealthy. I hope to be as generous and giving.

Great story. Nice to hear these things and know that they’re actually true and not some made up forward I get in my email inbox. Makes ya wonder why someone that compassionate never made it to the White House. He may have been a little funny looking but I’ve always liked him. He’s a pretty smart business man as well and had really great ideas when he ran for Pres. No one took him seriously enough, unfortunately.

What an amazing story. Consider the tenderness of God. I think if I ever have alot of money, I doubt I would for very long because I would do things like this all the time. Sometimes I think that people who are amazingly wealthy are like those with healing powers. They have no idea how many lives they could save.

Ross Perot demonstrated the love of Christ in his compassion and willingness. I can barely read the story, without tearing up, of the lepor who said to Jesus, “Lord if you are willing, you could make me clean” Jesus said “I am willing”

Cool story Hammer. I think it would be AWESOME to have the funds to do that.

We, as Americans, often worry about money or whatever, but God can do anything. When it looks like there’s no way, He can get a millionaire, presidential nominee to help out two missionaries in the Middle East.

I think God has a flair for the dramatic…
